It came in the original box. It was closed with clear type one each end. Opend it up and it appeared to be brand new. My Bernedoodle loves it.

Sorry but my dog ignores it
My black 120 lb. German Shepherd overheats easy, panting when it's near 70 degrees. Thought this mat would help but, based on his disregard of it when he's hot, I can't recommend it. It's cool when I press my hand on it so I know it's working as designed. As uncomfortable as he gets, it seemed a natural thing for him to gravitate to it like a little oasis of cool but even when it reached 90 degrees he found a bare space of cement in the shade instead of the mat.My black 120 lb.
