    Classic Horror Cult Movie!

It's rare to find out of print cult movie classics on DVD, which are on the way out of the market. If you find it, add it to your library collection and enjoy a classic cult film that gets pretty much right to gargoyle action and Bernie Casey is absolutely amazing as the lead gargoyle.

  • A treat for classic movie fans.

For those who are fans of classic sci-fi and/or horror movies, this remastered color version of the original is a real treat. The disc itself was brand new and the picture quality was good as seen on my HDTV.

  • Gargoyles: Their coming to get you

I watched this movie on TV when I was in grade school back in the early 70's and it scared the blazes out of me and my buddies. Designed as a made for tv horror movie it was hamstrung by the venue and subsequently only shown on late late television. The movie was, ironically enough, everything I rememeber, although not as haunting as it was to a 12 year old mind. For the era and the budget it was first rate. Was it cheesy, sure enough, but that is half the fun. Gargoyles is not the typical low budget horror flick, it has a story line, albeit shallow, well above average special effects, and a talented cast. As a made for tv movie I believe it was exceptionally done and a must see if you are into the horror genre.

  • A classic in the "Friday Night Late Monster Show" style

I bought this movie because I remember it scared the &%$&! out of me when I was like, 10 years old! I used to watch it on "Uncle Ted's Ghoul School" late Friday nights whenever it would run. The story is a classic--a group of gargoyles which only spawn every 500 years, seeking domination of Humankind; this theme of "re-awakening" has been referenced in other horror movies such as Jeepers Creepers, The most significant thing you realize while watching the movie is how different it looks with actual, real actors in the outstanding Stan Lee gargoyle costumes--which themselves hold up surprisingly well even today. There is an unmistakable "look" to natural light which, to this day, CGI imagery has not yet perfected. The director's use of slow motion also lends an eerie aspect to the gargoyles' ...
