    Affordable, fully capable iPod-like device for less $

    I bought the pink 4GB Zune for my wife who is not a technophile like me. Unwilling to shell out nearly $300 for the iPod 20GB when it came out years ago, I held out and purchased the 30GB Zune player for myself when it went on super-sale [$99] back during Xmas 2007. It has worked flawlessly for me, and I enjoy using it during long car trips, air travel and during workouts. My wife never really wanted one [because of it's bulk,] but when I surprised her with the tiny pink-colored 4GB she was ecstatic. There are tons of them on eBay for around $50, and the one I purchased looks and works like new. I highly recommend that anyone who needs an mp3 player and isn't tethered to iTunes [many of the music in the ZuneStore is unrestricted mp3, and Amazon MP3 works well too] purchase one of these.

    Microsoft Zune

    I ordered the 4gb mp3 player for my daughter after purchasing one for myself and she and I both love the Zune...Perfect size for travel and we love the ability to sync songs from one zune to another and the FM tuner adds to the appeal of this item..However I must admit that initally I had a problem with the item syncing and contacted Microsoft regarding the issue and had I followed the instuctions given by the representatives I would have disabled my firewall and deleted most of my hard drive...to find out that the problem was with the USB charger not the unit and not the software...So beware should you need to contact Microsoft for technical assistance however the zune in my opinion is a great little product...

    Zune 2Gen with 3Gen Software Rocks

    There is a lot to be said about MP3 players and what they offer, but when it comes to the ZUNE flash players it is very hard to go wrong if you choose it as your small/take it everywhere device. HW The form factor is great. It might not have the WOW factor of the Ipod Nano, but I actually like it better. It fits in the hand better and it feels very well made. The TouchPad is great and makes navigating very easy and intuitive. I bought this device for my Dad and he is not very tech-savy, but he liked it and was working on it within a few minutes. DEVICE SW I love the software on the device. It is clean, fast, smooth and works great. There are lots of little details that Apple has implemented in it's latest gen music players (except the touch of course, that is a different beast ...

    Perfect for my daughter

    I personally have one of the original Zunes 30GB. I use it on a daily basis and have since I received it. It's held up beautifully. When my daughter's Sansa MP3 player's screen cracked, I decided to purchase a Zune 4GB for her as well. It is a nice little player and easy to use straight out of the box. We also love that we can both use our Zune with the Zune Pass. AND, as we are a Microsoft family, it's an added bonus that our Xbox 360s and our Zunes play nicely together.

    Microsoft Zune 4gb/8gb models

    It's small, efficient, and a definite ipod alternative with style. Easy to use and navigate, simple software package, and great overall sound make this an excellent media player for almost anybody trying to run from the apple ipod zombies out there that think Ipod is the be all and end all of personal entertainment. Wireless media sharing is a plus. It may not have as much available as far as add-ons but what it lacks in extra's, it makes up for in ease of use, reliability, and a really sleek look and feel. The second generation Zune is a definite 8.5/10. Minor drawback is the click wheel like selector is a bit too sensitive. Otherwise, this little baby rocks !!!
