Works with Data Station 8 and Data Station 13
This "long reach" kit is exactly the same as the mount, magnet sensor, and connecting wire that comes with the Origin8 Data Station 8 and the Origin8 Data Station 13 except that the connecting wire is longer. It is long enough to work on the rear wheel of stationary bikes and tadpole tricycles and between the front wheel and often extra-long stem/handlebars of recumbent bicycles. I use it with recumbent bikes. Wired cyclometers don't suffer interference issues, don't need to have their batteries replaced as often, and don't have any battery at the magnet sensor at all. Wireless cyclometers certainly enjoy a convenience factor but once a wired cyclometer is installed (NOT a complex project) it works better – and costs less, too.
