    Nice concept and remarkably inexpensive here but crappy pads

    Love that these shoes have replaceable pads but once they've [quickly] worn down past their textured surfaces they lose all braking power. Plus they're too wide for most rims, no room for any safety margin so impossible to align unless your wheel comes with extra wide races, such as Velocity Cliffhanger or whatever. But the aforementioned lack of stoping power after only a couple weeks use is deal breaker enough to avoid these dogs.
