Sony's popular series that turns consoles into karaoke machines makes its second appearance on the PS3 with SingStar Vol. 2. Makeshift musicians can once again belt out 30 different tunes from popular artists, and those unsatisfied with the selection of tracks can head online to purchase hundreds more videos and songs. Other online features include the new Harmony Duet mode, the ability to upload, share, and rate pictures and video performances, and a variety of multiplayer modes for up to eight people. SingStar Vol. 2 also supports remote play, so gamers can use their PSP to wirelessly download songs, create tracklists, and rate performances. The original batch of 30 songs includes music from diverse selection of artists, including: Aerosmith, Bobby Brown, The Cure, Eminem, Goldfrapp, The Mamas & The Papas, The Offspring, Radiohead, Weezer, and Yael Naim.

    Be a Sing Star

    My wife & I have been a Sing Star fan since Vol. 1. We love having friends over to play along when we have parties. It is always a big hit! Friends with other gaming systems always want to get a PS3 and Sing Star after they leave. This version is basically the same as the other version, but adds the different music tracks. This is not a bad thing, except for the disc swap. I'm sure there is some sort of copyright lawyer crap they'd have to deal with to copy it to the HDD, but it doesn't make this any less fun!!! The game play is perfect, w/ the music video, lyrics, and pitch bars helping you become a singing sensation in your living room. You can even get online and purchase new songs to add to your singing library. That alone will help to ensure this wont get obsolete. Also with ...

    Great Karaoke game with videos for whole family

    My kids love Singstar, they know most of the songs. I enjoy it too. It's great@parties & everyone loves it & the actual videos of the songs.. I have vol.1, 2, Abba & Queen, I only wish they would have more Singstar games available for the PS3 in the US; most of the newer versions are only available in the UK. I have the PS3 slim, not backwards compatible so I can't use the old Singstar games for PS2.Downloading one song at a time from internet is costly, cheaper to buy game.UK games are too expensive.What's up Sony bring the Pop edition to the US.

    EXCELLENT BUY!!

    Bought this as a gift for my 13 year old daughter, I had to purchase special microphones to play this game (VERY INEXPENSIVE 2 microphones for 14.00), which I was not aware of this when I purchased this game. I thought that the regular microphes for ps3 would work, and they did not. It was my own fault because I did not do any research on the game-- But -IT WAS WORTH IT!!! My daughter loves playing this game, and I love playing it with her..You can have battles , you can play solo and you can even do duets..VERY FUN-HOURS OF FAMILY FUN!!!

    Fun Karaoke

    A fun party game for PS3. The Singstar vol 2 is a great karaoke collection. It feature 30 popular hit songs. Is not the best game ever made but will be a great entertainment when you have friends over. Make sure to purchase the USB mic that sold separately.
