Essentilal equipment for those who strive to provide good emergency communications to their communities!
I've got 2 Kenwood TH-K20'S (The receive/transmit performance of these radios is like what can be expected from a commercial communications radio!) and I use them for emergency communications support applications for many events. It's essentilal to have the largest battery packs available for the events I support since when I do them access to my vehicle where I might be able to have extra batteries often isn't an option. While these battery packs are hardly sufficient to keep the Kenwood TH-K20'S alive for a 14 hr. event they will keep the radios working for a few hours. I suggest buying at least 3 of these for each radio you own if you'll be operating at an event that is longer than 12 hrs. long.
