    Rear strut tower in-trunk brace.

    My Genesis Coupe used to creak and groan when driving over uneven surfaces.A bit tricky to install,this brace stopped that.The bolt holes on the brace are 10~12mm,the mounting bolts are 8mm.I fabricated spacers for the 8mm hardware that took up all the slop in the mounting holes.This made it even harder to install but when it was torqued for the final time it was super tight.You have to cut some pretty big notches in the insulation (styrofoam) that covers the rear of the spare tire.You also will need to cut the carpet liner in the trunk floor and up at the top by the strut towers.I have the rubber trunk liner from Hyundai and that needed to be cut also.As I said a bit of a pain to get it perfect but it does work.Took me an entire afternoon to get it the way I wanted.I have over 40yrs ...
