    Compace and Fast

    It's hard to believe that technology can pack one terabyte of space into a device this small. If you've purchased Western Digital external hard drives over the past couple of years, you'll appreciate its compact size. I bought this to use with a Macbook Pro Time Machine and it works perfectly. I don't see why this wouldn't work with a Windows unit either. It comes with a sturdy USB cable. Also, there's proprietary backup and restore software on a separate partition of the device. You don't have to use it, but it's there. A great technological and easy to use external hard drive. It's well made and completely silent.

    WD 1 TB My Passport for Mac

    These have been the most reliable and easy to use external hard drives. I teach, so I need to load up student files for grading at home and also copy over all the handouts for the students. These are fast enough to work to and from directly. I haven't had trouble with any of them and I've had over a dozen of various sizes.

    Easy to use Mac backup

    I'm not technologically skilled, yet I can just plug in this unit, back up my Mac, and feel secure to have my important data saved in the event of a hard drive failure. Couldn't be easier.
