    New life to an old Shuttle XPC

    I recently got an old Shuttle XPC with a broken power supply, and decided I would repair it and turn this little computer into a multimedia unit for my livingroom. I wanted a HDMI output, but since the Shuttle only has an AGP slot, there weren't many choices for graphics cards out there. So the ATI Radeon HD 4650 card was purchased and fitted just fine. I however drilled a hole in the computer casing above the fan just to ensure sufficient airflow to the card. As soon as I booted for the first time, the VGA output was on. Then I installed the drivers from the CD, CCC included. A little tweaking in the settings in both XP and the media player, and I soon enjoyed a movie from the Shuttle on my TV with excellent sound and picture through the HDMI. No glitches or stuttering.
