Astonishing, perfectly cast. Shows audiences very different facets of human behavior. Sinatra turns in an understated, subtle performance. Angela Lansbury is the scariest thing I've ever seen in a film. She AIN"T no Jessica Fletcher here!

This is the original Manchurian Candidate
The new movie is not nearly as good as this original. Spooky. It is right up there with Dr. Strangelove and other great 60s post-nuke movies and books.

Manchurian Candidate is AWESOME!
This is not the Angela Lansbury you remember from Murder She Wrote or Beauty and the Beast. She is deliciously evil in this film! Can't say I'm a fan of Frank Sinatra in general, but you can hardly tell it's him in this film. It's tragic, chilling, daring, frightening, macabre and HYPNOTIC! You cannot take your eyes off this film. It's got conspiracy, political intrigue, murder and brain washing.
