    Workable upgrade from 3G flip phones on Cricket

    This Alcatel QUICKFLIP 4044C 4G LTE HD is a workable upgrade for Cricket subscribers who have been using 3G Pantech Breeze III flip phones (which will soon not be supported on the Cricket network). I was able to keep my existing Talk and Text plan and simply activate the Quickflip in place of my old Pantech. As best I can tell, the QUICKFLIP 4044C is not available directly from the Cricket store. You order it here and then bring it to a Cricket store as a "Bring Your Own Device" phone. They will deactivate your old phone and activate the QUICKFLIP 4044C in its place by creating a new SIM card for it ($11 fee). My old contacts couldn't be transferred automatically due to some limitation in my old phone, so I had to enter them manually into the new phone. It will take a while to learn ...

    Reliable with good battery life...

    (This is the second phone of this model we have purchased.) Pros: The phone is easy to set up and use. It is reliable with a good battery life. Cons: The Cricket programmed music and features are annoying. The texting feature is difficult to use.

    Great replacement for the old 3G phone.

    Pure talk stopped supporting 3G phones. Took the SIM out of my 3G phone and put it in this 4g phone and was making calls right away.
