Glenn Gould (worth listening to)
If you don't know who Glenn Gould is it's time to start researching him on Wikipedia. A classical interpreter who has foraged into the world of jazz and in the process created his own category in 1955 to reintroduce classical music to a new generation. Also this is the time to scour eBay for CD bargains, especially since the used audio market is currently ignoring this category. I got this 3-CD set for under $10 and the sound quality is so good. If you're not ready to invest thousands in vinyl, this is the way to go to get quality music and build a collection for a lot less than buying in stores.If you don't know who Glenn Gould is it's time to start researching him on Wikipedia. There is no piano player period that plays like glen gould does . he was taught by a man from chii a technique that few are aware of called "tapping" needless to say he excelled at it and the rest is history . many do not understand the differance , once you hear Gould there is no returning !! when he played super fast you can hear every note and tone , unlike all others who blurr all of the work . nobody else has come along and acheived or will achieve what gould has . simply perfection. Not much to say other then is is wonderful. Sound, interpretation just great. Will take time to get the real essence but at first hearing it moves the soul. He is missed.
