    Durability and utility

    The Nokia 3589i is not impressive to see and is not impressive to use. It possesses technology from 10 years ago, so someone who would feel embarrassed by not having the smallest, sleakest, multi-media/function device should not consider this phone. But! If you are looking for a phone that you can drop out your car window at 30 m.p.h. and still make a call, or receive a signal just about anywhere, and care nothing about bells and whistles, then this is a great phone. The sound is great. The signal is always great. What few features this phone has are easy to use. I bought this phone as a temp when my expensive phone broke, and I find it to be everything one may need in a phone. I am still going to replace my broken phone because I need a more functional web browser for work, but ...

    Easy Phone With Simple Features

    I got this phone for someone elderly who had complained all the newer phones had too many features she didn't use. This phone is as simple as it gets!! Its 911 compliant, large buttons and a simple menu. There aren't any bells or whistles, it just does the job. Calls are loud and crisp. There is no volume control button on the phone, the volume can only be adjusted during a live call. That may be a deal breaker for some, but not for us. Overall very satisfied with the phone. So if you need simple and neat, this is your phone.

    Nokia 3589i (Verizon Wireless)

    This is an oldie but a goodie! It is one of if not the best phone that Verizon ever offered if your primary concern is receiving calls and you're not worried about the fancy bells and whistles on the newer phones. I have had many of the newer supposedly better phones but none a single one would work in the sound-proof "break up" room that I worked in for a number of years. The newer fancy phones either did not receive calls or dropped them plus reception was poor. Worse yet I had the same problem with many of them in my office at home in certain places. Recently I dropped my latest phone and drove over it and had to purchase a new phone and decided to find and old used Nokia 3589i on eBay. It has been a few years but it was like finding an old long lost friend as soon as I got it ...

    Amazing signal pulling reception, and easy to use

    Since I still occasionally travel through areas with spotty coverage, a cell phone's reception is very important to me. I, like most of my friends, have Verizon Wireless as the cell phone provider. Non of their fancy clam shell or super smart type phones can come close to this Nokia 3589's ability to pull in a signal, and make a call. Also, this Nokia's menu is FAR easier to use, as it pre-dates Verizon's decision to standardize the menus of all their phones. Sure, this Nokia doesn't have a camera, and it won't floss your teeth or anything fancy. But when it comes to pure 100% signal pulling power, nothing comes close. The fact that after market parts like batteries, hands free cords, and cases are super cheap is an added bonus.
