Because our king-sized bed sits up high off the floor, I buy two king quilts and sew a portion of one onto each side of the other, making it long enough to cover what it needs to. Today's thick mattresses, and beds that are high off the floor, are too big for a conventional king quilt. These quilts are so inexpensive, so lovely, it is easy to just buy two! Voila!
