Kingdom Come- Comeback CD
Jay-Z's Come Back was well anticipated and worth the wait for those that have been following the Jigga-man if not throughout his entire career the later stages(vol 1. - black album). Jay-Z comes back evolved as the subject matter gives us insight into personal issues as well as family issues. If the black album did indeed produce the Death of Jay-Z, then this album is the rebirth of shawn carter. All grown up. The Album has a different feel but is familiar in sound. The album is also deeper than the first released single Show me what you got! Kingdom Come is an honest expression of Jay Z. It doesnt contain the common chart topping formula that The Game, 50, and other rappers are using. You know, the cars, the jewelery, and the video girl lyrics that lace all of their albums. Jay Z is not a rapper he is a lyricist. Listen to true Hip Hop because Jay Z is a grown man and not a starry eyed child like the rest of them ::cough:: Lil' Wayne ::cough:: Finest songs include Minority Report (katrina victims) and Beach Chair (the sweet life).Kingdom Come is an honest expression of Jay Z. Good not great...
Jay-Z Kingdom Come is a good purchase. With songs ft Beyonce Pharrell Usher and Nas, makes it an even better purchase. Overall their is a about 4 or 5 top songs on the album. Surprisingly, it isn't like most of the other rapper albums which contain the whole money, girls, and show off what you don't have lyrics, this CD has more soft songs to it. To wrap it up, its not as good as the other Jay-Z CD's, but still purchasable.Jay-Z Kingdom Come is a good purchase. With songs ft Beyonce Pharrell Usher and Nas, makes it an even better purchase. JAY-Z Kingdom Come
This Is Jay-Z's best ablum... It's personal, its grown, its thought provoking a little bit. Lyrically Jay-Z has grown and perfected his style on this album. It has very mature adult content(not cuss, but actual substance of lyrics). Dr. Dre played a big part on this album by producing 4-5 tracks and mixing the entire album. No one can do it like Dre giving tracks that extra clean crisp mix but yet so big sounding at the same time. Jay fits perfectly with the Dre crafted sound. The only song I didn't like so much was ironicaly the first radio single "Show Me What You Got" it was not a step forward in his music but more reinterating what he was before showing you that he can still make hits out of semi-retirement. Still his lyrics are not as potent as other legends ... This Is Jay-Z's best ablum... It's personal, its grown, its thought provoking a little bit. Bad Album
I bought this album when it first came out because of all the hype it was getting, but that was a mistake. When I listened to it straight through I found the tracks to be more of a big band sound and slow with shorter rap verses. It was not what I was expecting from Jay-Z and definitely not the kind of Rap I like or am used too. Maybe he will figure out how to make some new original hits, instead of this new sounding album, or all the remixes of his old songs he has done.I bought this album when it first came out because of all the hype it was getting, but that was a mistake.
