    Needs software.

    This could have solve my problem of transferring old analog videos (Sony handycam Hi8) onto my computer. But it's nothing without software and I didn't realize that until I bought this. Don't buy without software.

    An easy cheap way of importing your old media onto a computer

    It transcodes video very well. It does show a small line at the very bottom of the screen that is a bit distracting. Not sure what that's about. I am using this on one of my old Windows XP computers.

    Does what it says it will

    This device works like it is supposed to work. No problems. My home video when into the computer with no problem. It is helpful though, to have a current version of Pinnacle Studio to work with the images. The software that comes with Dazzle is very basic.
