    Very nice, solid machine

    This laptop is sturdy and reliable, and it was easy to install Linux on it. The keyboard is excellent. The touchpad and display are not as nice as you'll find on newer machines, but they get the job done. I got this laptop as a way to try out Linux and I'm glad I did!

    Best laptop of the ThinkPad line

    I am an avid Linux user and wanted a more traditional laptop for doing development. This machine suits my needs perfectly. It runs very fast with an SSD hard drive. Battery life is great. All in all it's a great machine and I highly recommend it.

    Nice useful laptop

    My Lenovo ThinkPad x220 is a great little laptop that does all I need it to do. It was recommended by my nephew who works for MicroSoft as a good value, high performance machine. I've had no issues with it in about 2 years. I would buy it again if something happened to it. The only thing I wish it had was a side number pad. All numbers are across the top, but not that much of a hassle.

    Oldie but a goodie

    excellent keyboard, instantly installed 16GB of ram and an SSD, just ordered an ips panel for it. Very excited. Due to its age, its not the most intense processor but most people don't need a lot of processor.

    The last 'true' thinkpad

    Sadly, they don't make them like this one anymore. The X220 is the last in a long line of wonderful Thinkpad X-series models to feature a real keyboard with a sane layout. Every one of the newer Thinkpads has a "Chiclet" keyboard with funky layout and various issues which severely detract from their appeal to those of us who appreciate what made the Thinkpad special.
