good value
having read a lot of reviews about this type of fence post hammer, comments like cheap poor quality broke after a few posts and so on. I was a bit concerned that I would have to pay a lot of money for something I would not use much after the initial installation of a electric fence. however after putting in 80 3inch posts a foot deep in firm ground it has no sign of any marks of dints it would still look new if I had not dropped it on the drive scratching the handle. so I am very happy with the cost and performance. plus they delivered it 3 days quicker than stated when ordering it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Badly made
The post rammer is not made to a great standard it's top is welded in wonky which causes damage to the top of the post. It is also alot shorter than a standard rammer which if you are not careful it's easy to pull it up to high, catch the top of the post causing it to bounce back and smash you in the faceVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

6" post knocker
I got this to knock in posts for a post and rail 900mm high fence. I used pointed round 85mm x 1650mm posts. The knocker was easy to use. I used a spirit level and marked the posts so i knocker them in the same amount. It saved using metposts and i didnt need to use postcrete either. Maybe a taller fence would need postcrete to support the posts. The post knocker made it easy to knock in posts close to a tree. Im an engineer and used to slide hammers and using this is similar. The tool is heavy and you need manual dexterity. All in all I recommend this to anyone with the skill to use it otherwise you could hurt yourself.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Have only used it for about a dozen posts so far, but it does the job well, seems to be well made. It is lighter than many I have used in the past which is both good and bad. Good because I am not getting any younger! Bad because it is made lighter by using a shorter tube.
