I have never played Diablo II before, it is my first time playing Diablo II game and which is Lord of Destruction. I have no idea about Diablo II, but I do have experience about Lord of Desctruction. It is the first PC game I have purchased. This game is great. Even though its graphic might not be as good as the ones that Blizzard Entertainment is currently developing (Such as World of Warcraft). But the game is great. Diablo has been out for a long time and it is still popular. ~ The NPCs: One of the thing I like most about Diablo II LOD (Abbrev. for Lord Of Destruction) is that you can choose to choose to let the NPC 'talk' or not. I love to have NPC talk. Their accent their emotions. It makes the game feels live. ~ Acts: Every time you get passed one Act, you can go to the next act, and you might also come back as well. Every act will have more monsters, more maps to explore, and of course, harder boss to find. Sometimes the bosses are annoying or do not drop good loots. But sometimes they drop great loots. The excitement while exploring new and unknown maps, and the nervous when fighting the boss is such a chilling and great feeling. It is really well-developed as for some boss, you have to think of a plan on how to fight it. ~ Guides: There are great guides that come with the package I bought. It is very detailed and excellently outlined. Although, I like the online guides written by other players better if you want to not making mistakes on plotting the points or want to develop a specific type of character. However, if exploring and experimenting new things are something you love to do, you will love this game. This game has a lot of monsters, quests and bosses that waiting for you to fight and explore. ~ Online of Offline: Another great thing about this game is you can choose to play alone on your computer or you can choose to go online and play with other players. Although, be aware of a lot of cheaters and hackers in online games. Cons: Overall this game is great but it does have cons as well. ~ You have to insert the CD everytime you want to play the game. Which might be annoying if you are somehow that uses different CD a lot. ~ Configuring Online battle.net might be confusing or sometimes time consuming. Often if you have router or modem and you only configure the port setting in your computer but not the router or modem. Other players will not be able to access your channel at all. Besides of configuring the ports in your firewalls in your computer, you will also have to configure them in the Router or Modem in order for them to work properly. Overall, it is a great game that you will enjoy if you love adventure and playing game as much as I do :]Read full review
Still great even after all these years. Windows Ten users might have to shoot for compatibility tips which are easily found online. I would also advise getting the latest patch from Blizzard so you can play the game without the disc inserted. Easy installation. Awesome game.

I’ve played this game ever since it came out, but not in the last eight years…I lost the disc needed to open the game. The graphics are out of date, but the game is still a lot of fun. I think this expansion set may give you too many new magic items, making you harder to kill, I still love it and will keep playing again and again. Today it’s getting hard to find a game that doesn’t require an Internet connection, it’s not required here.

This expansion gives x2 the stash space for items, but now there's runes, jewels, and charms; that all take up spaces. More is lost than gained if you save these types of items. There's also a lot of special 'X' class only items that are dropped that have no use for your character. The new act is fun though. And there is more things that can be done with the cube to change items.
The expansion does what its supposed to: make the game bigger and more playable. The orchestral music by Matt Uelmen and Glenn Stafford is lovely. There are also more people actively playing LoD online than the non-expansion version. However, Diablo is an old game, lets face it. Old games can be fun for the nostalgia, but are routinely frustrating in their shortcomings, so why buy old? For those of you shopping around for a new action-RPG, allow me to me suggest Torchlight. Torchlight was made by some ex-Blizzard North developers in 2009, so it has all the best things that Diabo had (nearly identical gameplay), but is vastly more streamlined and detailed. It is a single player game, meaning you don't need to put up with jerks and spambots on battle.net anymore. And it features another lovely soundtrack by Matt Uelmen. Diablo was fun for a while...but Torchlight changed my mind about that.Read full review
