Glue will separate from backing if it gets wet
Thought this would work well for masking an exterior painting project on my boat. It is fairly stiff but went on ok, definitely thicker than another 3M yellow tape I have used before. The project required overnight drying and some washing between coats. When I went to peel the tape, it separated and was very difficult to remove. I think I would have been better off with blue painter's tape. I would say the water resistant claim is a stretch, and will only use the rest of the tape on projects where I can peel right away without it getting wet.Thought this would work well for masking an exterior painting project on my boat.
