    good design, but...

    ...it's way too light until the first water is poured through and gives it some weight (plastic is cheap, y'all O.o), it's very easy to knock it off the top the cup and send dry coffee flying. Also, there was a hole poked in the filter by a pointy plastic burr at the bottom of one of the vent things a couple of times before I figured out how the sludge was getting in my coffee. This was easily fixed with a small file, and I do love that the vents are further apart in this current incarnation of the Melitta. Edges were sharp all over it, as if it wasn't totally finished. I took care of that by very carefully removing them with a piece of small, worn-out green Scotch-Brite pad). Also, I'm not sure I like the replacement of the handle with a tab, which disappears under the soggy #4 filters ...

    Every Coffee Drinker Needs One

    This is how it was done before the automatic drip coffee makers, and it’s perfect. Works just like your coffee maker, you’re just doing it by hand. Put this over top your empty mug, add a cone filter and some coffee, pour some boiling water over the grounds and voila, perfect cuppa joe. Even if you don’t use it every day, it’ll come in handy when your coffee maker bites the big one (or whenever the glass pot breaks). Buy one for everyone on your Christmas list.

    Melitta Single Cup Coffee Brewer

    Good Price Takes #2 paper cone filter, (I have not tried a brass cone in this unit yet). I have been using this for a week now, resulting in a very nice cup of joe by the end of the week. I like my coffee pretty strong so 2 large teaspoons for my cup seems to be my level. The brewer has an extended lip instead of a handle which is perfect for pouring the hot water from your pan into the brewer, it gives you a little spill protection from water going down the side of the pan as you start to pour (I have a tea pot so no worries there) nice design thought. 1 hole in this one, I thought it would not be good yet after brewing some coffee I like the way the water stays for a few seconds in the cone gathering the nice coffee juices from the grounds as it funnels down. The brewer has pep holes ...

    Melitta Pour-Over Coffee Brewing Cone

    Easy way to make one cup of coffee. Heat the water in the microwave, put filter and coffee in the Brewing Cone on top of your mug. It is pretty quick, but since it is drip you do have to wait for it to filter through. My only problem is that sometimes I don't pour so straight and water drips on the table, but that is not much of a problem. I like the design, much sleeker than the earlier version of the Brewing Cone that I used to have. When done, just dump the filter and grounds into the trash (or compost if you prefer).
