DRAGONOLOGY: THE COMPLETE BOOK of DRAGONS (OLOGIES)

The book of Dragonology is an excellent introduction to Dragons and a great companion to the game by the same title. Is it a "Complete" book of dragons? The answer would have to be NO! But it is nicely done and children of all ages will enjoy reading the book. The author attempts to making a compelling case for the existence of dragons. A compassionate plea is also put forth to protect this "endangered" species. I enjoyed the book as I am sure that my grandsons will enjoy it as much as I did, or evenmore.

    • Dr. Ernest Drake's Dragonology review

Amazing book! Would make a perfect gift for any dragon or fantasy fan! There's really nothing to dislike about it. I love how the author is writing about it as though dragons really existed. My favorite were the small hands-on things, such as the frost and asian dragon scales, sample of dragon dust, and the attached riddle book. I love the extensive information as well such as the dragon language, magic spells, pullouts of the dragon's anatomy, etc. I myself am a dragon fan, and saw it at Barnes and Noble but didn't have enough money so I purchased it on ebay later, there was no way I could pass it up. I'm also in love with the other 3 "ology" books, such as Pirateology, Egyptology, and Wizardology, i'd also recommend them as well!

    • Excellent for Drawing Dragons-and learning as well

I teach childen's art and so I wanted this book to help students get ideas for drawing. This book is perfect for what I wanted. There is a bit of reading- to help draw the student in but lots of art work on every page.Lots of 8 to 12 year olds are drawing dragons to have a sense of control over things that they fear. Not every student is comfortable with a How to draw X book, many don't want to risk not looking cool.this book gives them a chance to learn, practice and invest the time in something they had an intrest in before this class. The book looks morer grown up than most How to draw cars or even How to draw fantasy creatures , yet has lots of closeups of joints and wings that are perfect for learning technique.

    • excellent book

My grandson who is 5 years old loves this book,he has spent a lot of time going through it and I really like it too!!

    • A very interesting book

At first glance this book looks rather childish and simple, but on closer inspection goes into great detail of dragons and lore. If you can get past the "dragon dust" and "spells" then you can actually get some good information from this. I got it for my girlfriend because she has been trying to find something with details of dragon wings, this book not only has dragon illustrations but also dragon anatomy illustrations.
