I have tried the cheap Chinese knock off o-ring sponges and they work fine for a couple of o-rings then the sponges dry up and fall off the lid. Also I am never quite sure if it’s high quality “watch” silicone? With Seiko there is no doubt and I can “re-charge” the sponges with Seiko TSF-451 grease without worry of lubricant compatibility. (The TSF-451 is just thicker)
