    OK rain gauge for TALL tanks.

    The product does what it says for a TALL tank. But if you have a SQUAT tank say only 1200 mmm high then the gauge will only show a small range/swing/indication. It would be good if one could swap the gears around inside (they actually are accessible) to give a bigger swing/range indication for a short tank.

    Relatively easy to install, but I have doubts about the quality of construction.

    Tank has filled since I installed it, so too early to comment on its accuracy, BUT the second time I removed the faceplate to fine-adjust the position of the FULL indicator, I noticed that the entire dial face was loose, and I had to re-align it before I put the faceplate back on. The fact that the dial face is not held in place by anything other than the faceplate doesn't inspire me with confidence in this product. Time will tell, I guess.

    Good value for money

    I have used this product ever since installing a tank onto my domestic property. The tank is only 8KL. For the price this unit is reliable and works well. The plastic cover does 'frost' up over time making reading difficult, but this is after 6-8 years being outside in the sun and cold for 24/7.

    Easy to use

    Certainly inexpensive and easy to use. It can measure in quite deep tanks. A simple weighted float on a cable attached to a gauge. Anybody who uses their water tank should have one of these or equivalent.

    Good product for the price

    Light string to float may not last too long in the damp environment of the water tank. Good that you can set the "full"and "empty" readings on the gauge to suit your tank. Water level easy to read.
