This is a good system, especially for the price. A lot of other more sophisticated helmet systems cost upwards of $100, and this is a good investment if you don’t want to invest in something fancy. The voice changer works well and the speaker is sufficiently loud. One issue I had was finding a good place to mount the speaker due to horrible feedback screeches. A little sound proofing is a simple solution. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.

I liked the seller, item came quickly and shipped quickly / safely. However, I felt the product itself lacked. Couldnt really hear my voice in through the speaker at all. Too quiet and weak to be used in a convention setting . Buy thank you anyways!

    Nice module

Nice unit. The speaker could use a bit of tweaking and could be louder in projecting sound but over all. It's good

  • Top critical review

Not what it’s cracked up to be!

Pretty disappointed, first it sounds like Kylo REN not Vader. Second the speaker for the helmet cannot be heard over my normal voice so it doesn’t work for a mask, when I put the out put on my sound bar is when you can actually hear a difference despite not being the voice changer I ordered. Last the mic cuts in and out when talking, for the price I got kinda what I paid for but since my mask is of Vader I am kinda of hosed. Probably never going to buy this brand again.

  • No volume, Too Much Static, Mic Cuts Out

Yup, I can sadly confirm what other reviews are reporting: that this voice changer (mine was for Vader but the problems exist for ALL their voice changing products) is not really suitable for any trooping or cosplay. If you opt for the voice changer without the amp, then the output is so low you can't really hear anything over your own voice. If you do opt for the amp with volume control then while yes, it's louder, the static and distortion are SO BAD that you can't make out words, syllables or even 'which' voice it is supposed to be. In other words, it's so distorted that Vader comes across like Ren, who comes across as a scratchy Stormtrooper. They sound the same. A bad design, overall. The included mic and boom are of the lowest possible quality. I literally found a superior mic for 3 ...

  • It works, but lots of feedback from mic.

I bought this for a friend for a darth vader helmet. He said there wasn't much room so it was hard to fit into the helmet. Also the unit is attached to a ear band to keep the microphone up. we had to remove it and place the microphone inside the helmet because there wasn't room for it to be attached to his head. The microphone was kind of cheap and produced a lot of static noise even with the foam wind breaker over the mic. However my friend is happy to have another helmet with a voice changer in his collection so it worked out.

  • Good, fun but could be refined a little more

It tends to change over time but that's probably the battery as it fades. If you put it through a speaker it is sometimes hard to understand if you put the volume all the way up. It sometimes doesn't pick up the pronunciation of S's so well.
