Very similar to another brand sold here (both about the exact size, tone, and "playability"), however, this Fender brand has the key embossed on the harmonica, while the other brand just has an inexpensive sticker on the case that delineates the key. I found having the KEY on the harmonica, itself, to be helpful, as I have multiple harmonicas.

    Great value!

For the price I don't believe any other brand can equal this Fender harp! I was a pro musician for many years as a reed player and bassist and played in two U.S. Navy bands. I am an amateur harmonica player and find chromatic harps to be easier for me. Some months ago I wanted to get into diatonic harps and have been working on blues in second position but first position as well. On a c harp I play some things in F, A minor plus 1st and 2nd positions of course. This harp really surprised me as the tuning is right on and it looks pretty too. It has a crisp tone and the bends for blues are easy. I may get more of this model in other keys as well. Just got a Paddy Richter harp too and what fun! At this point I have found no negatives at all. My three Hohner harps have a rounder tone but this ...

Roll of the dice on whether or not it's in tune!!!

I did not have the same experience others apparently had. I bought a key of D harp which is a little harder to bend on due to a higher pitch. My harp was badly out of tune in the 6 thru 9 holes and #10 doesn't produce any sound. I do realize it was only $13 and can't really compare to a Hohner Special 20 at $40......so buyer beware! Not a good risk if you intend to use it in performance.

  • For the price, it's great!!

For the price, it is just great!!! Harder to bend notes than a pro model, but it does play pretty well. :) -Can actually Learn on these... They are decently in tune, as well. (What I wouldn't recommend are the Hohner Blues Band for 8 bucks, unless just buying as a kid's Toy.)

  • Nice blues sound

Very good for the price. I like its warm bluesy sound. However, I have just started using it, so I'm not sure how durable it is.

  • easy to play

good harp for the money tired of paying 50.00 plus for one. Once you blow out a reed they're useless no matter what they cost. You only have to blow out one reed and then you might as well throw it away. So for the money ill keep buying Fender Blues Harps
