    Perfect Fit for my Ford 8N Tractor

    This was a perfect fit which I think was the original ignition switch on my Ford 8N which became defective. The style is a little different and the key is different but it fits and works perfectly after I reterminated the ends. It comes wired with two small round terminal round terminals. I needed to change out both terminals, one to a larger round terminal and the other to a push on female spade connector to fit the resistor terminal. My tractor was having difficulty starting, but fired right up after I swapped out to the new switch. The whole process took about 15 minutes. It comes with two keys.

    It's okay for a cheap ignition switch. Works but mediocre quality.

    The ignition switch does what it needs to do, but don't leave it outside in the rain as it is highly susceptible to rusting. Bought one and installed on my tractor which I left parked outdoors for about a week and it rained. When I came back, the key was totally rusted and the ignition switch was heavily oxidized. Overall, the switch is cheaply made but it does work.

    Replaces the OEM part perfectly.

    A perfect looking and functioning part. My original part had/has the key installed, but will not rotate the full 90-degrees to properly function the switch. Try as I may to remove the key, the switch pins will not release to allow the key to be removed. This new switch assembly, wiring harness and key set functions perfectly. The OEM part is held in place by a spring clip on the back side of the switch panel. This new part is held in place by a large size threaded nut. External to the mounting panel, it is identical to the OEM part. Behind the mounting panel, the difference in the part's construction is not observable. Thanks for the improvement.
