Probably cost $1.25 to make then retail it for $16 USD. It serves its purpose that's what matters. Looks good and it's functional. I have the iPad air A1474. As you know I cannot update or add anything that requires IOS 13 or higher. I refuse to keep buying iPads. So I'll just maintain the one that I got, until it decides to stop working. Current condition is very good
