    Okay, kinda-ish

    Did a good job of cleaning the rubber seals - took an astonishing amount of black gunk off them. But I have no idea how much gunk ordinary washing-up liquid would have removed. As for the algae: forget it. Little green buggers are still thriving. The instructions are very simple and I followed them to the letter, but still needed to scrape all the greenery off by hand a week later.
