Good but a scary install
I mean it looks to be a good window, not to mention it was a snug fit on my 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited v8. But first time installers be careful! It took me 2 plus hours to figure out how to properly install this on my jeep. There's not really any walkthroughs or anything on the web so I'll try to sum up what I'd to do. First I'd to take the interior door cover off, then I'd to roll the window rail down to where I could access the nuts holding the metal plate in from the old window. KEEP THE OLD NUTS! You can't exactly find the right ones anywhere and you'll have to reuse them. After I'd the old window plate out, and if the rail in an easy accessible area (about halfway rolled down the door) I slid the window in front side first. When sliding in make sure you keep the window in the ... I mean it looks to be a good window, not to mention it was a snug fit on my 1993 jeep grand cherokee limited v8. But first time installers be careful! It took me 2 plus hours to figure out how to properly install this on my jeep. When sliding in make sure you keep the window in the soft fur like coated guide for the window. Then you need to firmly, but not too strongly, slide it down while making sure it doesn't fall. You've to line up the black screws preinstalled on your new window to your powered window mounting rail. Then you use the nuts you took off earlier to securely mount it. After I temporarily put my interior door cover back on to roll the window back up, slowly, if you didn't tighten the screws right the window will rattle and that can cause it to shatter later on. So once the window is up all the way make sure it lined in correctly. If so it's all good, if not roll it down and adjust your window so that it is level with your door if it is not the pressure from the powered window will break it. Once it's rolled up I placed the black window cover back on it, sliding it back into the window slot. Then I rebooked the door connectors and then screwed it all back it. Did a few role up and role downs to make sure it was all good then bingo you've a fixed window. It can be done in about an hour if you go in with this knowledge you really don't have to remove anything else from the door other than what I specified. For $60 it is much cheaper but slightly time consuming instead of taking it to a mechanic. Any local repair shop for me wanted $300 so for free shipping and $60 you can't beat it.
