Got the pool winterized and unpacked this winter cover. Considering it has a 16 year warranty it is VERY light weight, the material is very thin. I have serious doubts that this is going to survive the ice over the winter here. That said, the actual workmanship is good. I did follow the instructions exactly so I guess we will see in the spring? I would not buy this cover again and expect it to last more than a year or two.

I made the mistake of buying a 18' foot cover for a 16 ft pool thinking that it would be easier to fit it. Problem was, with all the extra material , the wind would catch it and blow it off. Even with a added rope around it to hold it in place it would not stay on. My bad, but I did notice that it started getting very thin in the center even after one season.

This winter pool cover is about as thick as plastic wrap that you cover food with. I would of returned it but it has a ten-year warranty, so maybe after three feet of snow this winter in the Boston area, it will be the true test. The description is so full of it. It's lightweight, like jiffy pop. Dont buy this.
