    Works great for my high school son

    Works great for my son who is in high school. Apparently whatever model the teacher uses has a few keys that are in different spots so not every function works using the exact same keys, but that has not been a problem for my son. However, if your child's teacher uses a specific model I would suggest getting that model instead so that learning would be easier for someone not as technologically inclined as my son.

    Powerful calculator

    This is a used item of course, so the only thing guaranteed is the calc itself. I'm loving the computer algebra system on it; taking DE and Linear Algebra this semester and never knew how much of a time saver it was. Solves for x, does operations for polynomials, factors, integrates and d/dx functions, trig extpansion, etc. Only thing thats kinda a pain is matrices, but you get used to it. Wish I had this earlier. Lot of other calcs have CAS, but this is at great price too. this website lists a lot of the features and gives you a good idea of what this calc can do and gets you started using fast as well: prenhall d0t c0m /esm/app/graphing/ti89/homescreen/Menukeys/f1 d0t html replace all the d0ts and c0m

    Perfect for the engineering student

    If your studying engineering this is a must have, It has all the features that you need to succeed. with it's build in computer algebra system it can evaluate and simplify expressions, and display them as they would be written by hand thus making test easier. It returns all of the equations for a quadratic variable making it the ideal cheat-a-lator. well worth your time and effort to learn how to use this jewel.

    Incredibly powerful \. You probably won't be able to use all of its functions. On the negative side: font showing date and time is incredibly small and there is no way to increase font size.
