    Knipex is the absolute best

    These are better than anything you'll haphazardly pick up at Home Depot. They're better than Klein pliers (and Klein makes great pliers). These are the absolute best. The ends meet precisely, the joint articulates well, the handles are comfortable, and they're perfect for the kind of very find wire work you might do when creating a lineman's splice with fine wires, etc. These are not pliers for heavy work and they do flex if you stress 'em, but you're not going to find a set of pliers with jaws this long and thin that won't flex a touch under stress. Just as an FYI, they're smooth on the inside, so they're not the grippiest set of pliers, but for the sort of work you'd normally use these for, you shouldn't need extra grip.
