    Dial 7617 Digital Teremostat Controller controls my swamp cooler efficiently

    It works a lot better than the analog thermostat I had previously installed. The previous thermostat would control with about 5 degrees F swing, so I had to set it to go on at around 79 degrees F in order to cool down to 74 degrees F, and then the furnace would kick on, and I would end up with both running. With THIS Digital thermostat, it controls within 2 degrees, so I can set it at 77 Degrees F and it will cool down to 75 degrees, and the furnace can be left at 74 degrees, both will work independently. OR I could set the Digital to 76 degrees to cool down to 74 degrees F, and set the furnace to 73 F. This works okay also / One thing however, I wish it had a light on the dial, I have to use a tiny flashlight to see what the temp is, as this is installed in a slightly darkened hallway.

    Evaporative cooler automatic controller

    For years I manually controlled my controller and wondered why someone had not developed an automatic control system, then I found this one. I am very pleased with how this unit operates and would definitely recommend it.

    No better than a standard high/low on/off unit as it has no internal temperature sensor

    These are poorly designed and do not work as advertised. What sets these apart from every other thermostat that I have ever owned and/or operated, is there is no internal thermometer. You have to program it to set the temperature. The problem is, they constantly reset themselves to a baseline temperature of 84 degrees. It doesn't matter if the ambient temperature is 76 or 90 degrees, it resets itself to 84 degrees. So if my house is 78 degrees when I go to bed, and I set the temperature for 76 degrees, it will continue running until the house is at 68 degrees, since it is off by 8 degrees. I have awoke in the morning several times now with my cooler still running at 66-68 degrees and my heat is on, trying to warm the house back up. So basically this is no better than the regular cooler ...

    Now I just Live in Comfort !!!!!

    I use to have to get up and turn the cooler on every morning and off at night or when the furnace would kick on from the house being so cold I like to run it at 66 degrees F and then it goes off before the furnace kicks on I am so happy with this I have been wanting to get one for three years now !!!! only took ten mins to install A ++++++
