      A replacement for my first SRF-M70

      I recently picked up one of these radios only to replace the one I have had for the last 15 years and subsequently lost. My main use for this radio is AM Dxing for which I find it to work exceptionally well. Am broadcast reception is only rivaled by its FM reception, both excellent. One thing I love about the radio is it is both tough and weather resistant... So you don't have to treat it with kid gloves. I have dropped mine more times that I remember and it has never failed to work. It was made back in the days when Sony really made great stuff... I don't find their current production offerings to be quite this good. Oh yeah..... seems to last forever on just two 3A batteries... Why can't they make things like this anymore.

      Okay, inexpensive portable radio

      Nice sound, and okay volume control for in ear (private) listening. Good to have a protective case, such as one by USA GEAR for this radio. It scuffs easily, causing cosmetic blemishes to the yellow plastic radio surface. This one I got as USED was very near pristine in appearance! As these radios were made back in the 1990's, it will be harder, and harder to find one brand new in package.

      Great little radio

      This radio is nearly indestructible yet delivers clear digital sound. 10 digital presets and easy to find buttons means you can have this radio in your pocket and change stations so you never have to listen to commercials. Plus a "key lock" button so you can't change stations by accident. 2 AAA batteries last a very long time. A great little light weight radio.

      my husband is very pleased with me

      Good radio, both AM and FM, and excellent in-ear headphones. We found the manual widely available online and printed it off, and we've had no trouble tuning in to stations and setting the presets. There's also a stopwatch feature, but we haven't tried that out yet. All in all, we're very pleased with the purchase.
