  • I recommend only if you have room for it and dies that work well with it. Otherwise stick with more modern machines.

Product arrived damaged. VERY Damaged. Seller made right on it. SO had to find another to take it's place. Why did I buy an obsolete no longer made die cutting machine? Because some of my dies also no longer produced were being warpped in the modern new fancy roller embossing duall die cutting machines. I had invested a lot in more than 10 sets of alphabet Sizzix die sets and was upset when across 4 different embossing machines and brands they were warping. This machine actually doesn't roll over the dies it is a press. And so you bring down the lever or rod which pushes a very heavy press on to the die and it's paper you are cutting into. Note this machine is not made for a lot of layers of material. Also the dies I use require you need a magnetic plate you buy extra sometimes that allows it to work better with the thinner Sizzix alphabet dies and sometimes characters or designs plates too. I don't have those only the alphabet sets. You can still search and find new cutting plate bases for these too. I recommend if you buy a used one that you pick up an extra plate unless you can tell if the one sent with it is in good condition. Mine with the broken machine was very good so I could salvage that and use it in the next machine. I debated on ordering one of these because really they are large and heavy and I own 6 die cutting machines including two electric ones. So I'm running out of space. I'd cleeared a deep drawer recently for a new hobby making Freshies and so far it wasn't even 1/4 full so in the end I decided to move the aroma pellets and molds to the basement along with the scents because I had already sent the scents to the basement and had 4 empty drawers there that would hold everything together and not smell up my craft area either. So sure enough this machine fits into the drawer and takes up about 1/3 of it. Leaving plenty of space to share with some of my alphabet die sets too which all but two sets are long original huge over sized boxes as each letter has one die plus usually extras too. So I'm happy not to damage these dies now. The press might not be for everyone. I recommend watching Youtube videos to see how it works and get tips on it's use. My dies only need one press but there are others that need 2 even 3 presses where you move it along and do it in sections. Definitely different than the rolling machines currently in use today.

  • Sturdy & Cuts Well

I used this cutting machine to cut over 300 Christmas Cards into puzzles using a Sizzix puzzle die. It is well made and sturdy. I was able to use the back of one of the cards under the cutting pad to help the die cut completely. It takes 3 presses to make it across a card. I am happy with this purchase.

  • Love my Sizzix Personal Die Cutter

I have had so much fun cutting out die shapes with my new Sizzix Personal Die Cutter Machine. It is so easy to use. The only thing I've found, that has been hard, is finding several original dies that I want to buy.
