Lasts forever!
I bought two of these 5000 mah batteries for my son's 4X4 stampede along with the AC powered dual ID charger. The truck came with a 3000 mah battery. They all last a long time but the 5000's last a bit longer and charge just as fast. Very happy with the Traxxas products!

junk batteries, stay away, far away!!!!!!
these packs are no where close to 5000 mAh. Even charged at a low 3amp they will only take 4100 mAh at most. When discharged at a light 8 amp they fall on their face and dump in under 3900 mAh to .090 per cell cutoff....JUNK

Charged the batteries on the Traxxas ID charger, took about 30 minutes. They lasted over 45 minutes at full throttle bashing! I was very impressed! You won't go wrong buying these batteries!

The write up maybe too soon
Last night I had a chance to run my Traaxas Stampede around for the first time. This battery is better than the original battery 3000mAh. It is too soon to say. As of 9/25/17 The new battery will not hold a charge. I stayed with Traxxas brand hoping to another quality battery

Held a charge for two charges
Gave this battery to my son for his birthday on feb 11th with his brand new traxxas rustler. Ran fine one time. I put on the traxxas peak plus charger hasn’t held a charge since 1st time it ran. Very disappointing. Luckily I have an 3000 mah from my stampede so my son is still able to play until we figure out what battery to get next.

Great alternative to LIPO
Update! So these newer NiMh batteries DO NOT like being discharged with the old method of using an array of light bulbs to fully discharge the battery. In fact it'll reduce your runtimes and greatly increase the operating temperature on your next run. To correct this charge at 3 amps and then let the battery trickle charge for 30 minutes or so. Run the car until the battery dies and then charge normally. These batteries give my Slash and Bandit XL-5 anywhere from a 20 minute run time if I'm doing allot of wide open throttle running across a large field or up to a 40 minute run if I'm driving in a more sedated manor. These batteries will also give your car a bit of an acceleration punch as they'll be able to supply the ESC and motor with more and sustained amperage under acceleration.

Great nickle battery
I use to use a 3300 mah and it would last about 15-20 min. This one can get me almost 40 min of drive time. I use my truck for bashing around my yard so it's pretty much wide open throttle the whole time. Definitely will buy again.

Maybe I just got a bad one.
The origional 3000mAh battery that came with the kit has more power and a longer run time. Maybe I got one that had been sitting on the shelf for a while, but I'm looking to buy another 3000mAh battery. Over all this battery is losing its punch quickly.
