    Well Engineered

    The new handle and switch assembly is easy to install if you take a few precautions. Make sure you read the schematic included so you know where the old wires get attached to the new switch before you remove the old wires from the old switch. Common Sense. I had to cut the old connectors from the original wires and crimp on the new connectors included in the kit. It helps that I had a crimping tool. Other than that, the new handle and switch went on easily and is well-engineered. The saw works great again!

    good value and well made

    I'm not sure this replacement handle is as stout as the original, but seems to work very well. I took the time to watch a vid on replacement tips, which was helpful. The printed insert that came with this kit is not of much use, in my opinion, but the parts all seem to be swell. I certainly am glad I found this and didn't have to consider buying another saw.

    Good Switch Only Alternative to throwing away a perfectly good Mitre Saw

    Only possible way to keep this mitre saw going. No Idea why DeWalt stopped producing the old switch but this replacement is easy to install and works well. Youtube video on how to install exists

    Easy fix.

    Perfect fit. Easy installation. Would have been 15’ if I had paid attention to the switch wiring diagram which is included. Two of the leads switch sides in the new layout and I failed to make that change on the first pass, so I got to do it a second time. Even allowing for that, the whole process took 25’, and my 20 year old saw is back in business for $50 instead of $300.

    Works well

    I had a DeWalt 705 12 in compound miter saw that the trigger switch had gone bad on. This kit converts it to the newer half grip switch vs the old full grip switch. It needed a little finessing to make it fit right but otherwise brought my saw back to life.

    replacement handle for DeWalt Miter Saw Type 1

    Complete kit was missing a couple of screws but I made it work. Power cord relief hole pretty small for my cord so it needed a little work. Wiring instructions hard to read print but pretty straight forward. Over all it got my old saw up and running plus safe to use now. Thanks
