    It will (mostly) do the job

    You get what you pay for. This is a cheap dash-cam, and so long as you know that going in, it will serve you well. It does work and does record the video but it has some limitations. The limitations I found are that it will stop working if the ambient temperature reaches the upper 90's. It will recover and continue working after it cools off, but you will have to reset the date and time every time. In my case, I just got into the habit of resting it every morning knowing it would stop working in the late afternoon. One feature that drew me to this model was the WiFi connectivity. I did not want to have to rely on a tiny screen stuck to my windshield to preview or select video clips to save, and thought using my smart phone screen would be easier to deal with.
