    Given the price and the problem with counterfeits I was very wary about this item. However, when I asked for more pictures of exactly what I needed to observe before making my purchase the seller very quickly and kindly sent those pictures. After taking a look, the caliper looked had signs of the read deal. The seller offers free returns so I thought I'll take the gamble. After getting them in hand and checking, it was the real item. The quality and condition were great. The price was better.

    Get a genuine Mitutoyo, they are excellent!

    The accuracy of these calipers is unbelievable. I amazed at how much better these are than cheaper ones. Be sure to get a genuine one, two ways to tell is if it has a real SR44SW battery and if it says AOS on the calipers.
