    great instrument

    This is a great clarinet. It's rated as intermediate but it really is entry level professional. It has a very focused tone and the tuning is excellent. Like all Yamaha instruments the build quality is of the finest.The key work feels very comfortable and it plays well with a variety of mouthpieces. The YCL52 really has no bad points, and plenty of good ones. Yamaha clarinets are one of the clarinet world's best kept secrets.

    Fixer up

    This clarinet was not in great condition but is structurally sound. Wood dry and discoloured but has come up looking new after application of oil. Will have corks and pads replaced soon for nominal cost at which time instrument will be in very good condition

    Beautiful Instrument!

    Oh my goodness . . . I decided to pick up the clarinet again after a 49 year break. I was determined to get the instrument I wanted at a price that made sense. This instrument has a beautiful tone, and though I haven't played for years, I am already playing better than I did with my student instrument back in high school. So blessed to have found this! Plus, it came much sooner than I expected so that was a bonus too.
