    Cold war hokum

    Red Planet Mars is a 1952 American science fiction film released by United Artists starring Peter Graves and Andrea King. It is based on a 1932 play Red Planet written by John L. Balderston and John Hoare and was directed by art director Harry Horner in his directorial debut. As Variety wrote “Despite the hokum dished out, the actors concerned turn in creditable performances.”

    Oldie But Goodie

    Sure, you can find flashier Sci-Fi movies, all the CGI work and muti-channel sound, BUT, for an interesting concept (does God live on Mars) and some dated SFX, it does provide entertainment that is lacking in a lot of fodder that Hollywood churns out today. Also, can't beat the price. You would spend more on some cable turkey. Richard S.

    Nice twist...

    Most of the early science fiction movies are similar in that they had plots that were "out there". This movie has a story line that is on the verge of believability.
