    Almost great, but.

    This is a nice alarm and replaces an outdated one I had. I would have given 5 stars except that when mounted high on the wall the display is unreadable. They need to have a method to flip the polarizer to view from below. From straight on or above the display is great but for natural gas it needs to be ~12" from the ceiling. Fortunately I don't need to read the display all the time.

    GOOD TWO PURPOSE ALARM

    Easy to install and great if you have a gas heating system in addition to CO to be concerned about. Drawbacks they need to be replaced 5-6 years and the back up battery runs down in about a year yet still tests in the middle of the good range on the battery tester.

    A dubious detector, bulky and awkward to install.

    So so plug in detector. It doesn't work well with battery only. If you unplug it or loose power the battery backup only lasts a few minutes. It drains the battery immediately.
