Used these since the 80’s and still the best
I have used these pens mainly since the 80’s in elementary school. Just don’t use them to address letter. Not water proof. Yes, they do have some flaws. As one reviewer said they do leak (burst) occasionally. I have had them die on airplanes. I hear the hack is to keep them up right as mine were usually in a purse/planner. It’s gotta a it better over the years but some still go out with a blob. The good. They have a great movement to them with the rolling ball. If you do a lot of note taking or hand writing they are much better on your hands. My hand doesn’t tire as quickly with these pens. They give a constant line of ink. Be careful with a paper that has more of a “tooth” to it as I’ve had some of the fibers get into the roller ball. They like smoother paper best. I love the shape of ... I know I’ve mentioned a lot of the bad but after using them on so many things over the year you figure out the most appropriate uses for them are. I’m glad pilot has keep them the same style all these years. Why change perfection? Never change pilot. Never change.

Precise V5 Review
I have used V5's for years. They are my favorite pen. The fine tip. The ease of writing, or printing in my case is outstanding. No ink globule left between lifts from one letter to the next. The perfect pen for writing at a desk. However, they are not flawless. A serious defect exists . Occasionally, they will leak. It seems like this occurs as they get low on ink. I have always worn black pocket tee's and usually kept my black ink V5's in the shirt pockets.. On several occasions my fingers would be covered in black ink. I have many shirts with black stains from these pens. It's something I have leaned to live with, because I like the pen so much. I just discard the leaky pen, keep my fingers away from the pocket and get out another V5. Not ... I have used V5's for years. They are my favorite pen. The fine tip. Shirts remain stained, however. Anyway, I bought 144 V5's, because I'm in it for the long haul. Hope to see future improvements. I hate to stain a good shirt. Even thought of searching for a pen pouch to keep the pen stored in. Probably to bulky and uncomfortable.

I've been real partial to using these particular pens for many years now & they have consistently delivered in both quality & longevity. I buy a box of one dozen & it lasts me for many years. I use them for everything from working crosswords in the newspaper to signing greeting cards to marking appointments on my calendar to writing old fashioned letters on occasion. Anytime I need "special" pens, these are the ones I use. Never had any problems with leaking or skipping. The pen makes a fine line on most types of paper. I'm partial to the purple ones but the other colors are good too. Very vivid & bright. Excellent pen and worth every penny!
Nice shade of purple, not too dark or too light... just right for me. This shade is soothing for me and I find myself writing more or use it to jot various notes through out the day. Barrel has lots of ink.
