    Used OEM batteries are where it's at

    I've tried many a third party laptop and camera batteries over the years and can say that new generic brand batteries tend to lose charge much faster than even used OEM batteries. I've bought cheap no name brands as well as well known third party batteries and some might perform well when brand new, but overall, the charge goes down from day one. If you can find a used original manufacturer battery that is in generally good condition, the capacity over the long run is more stable. We can understand this if we consider how laptop companies make batteries, using branded premium cells that last long and charge also a premium for them when new. So anyhow, for all my gadgets, I always look for OEM batteries (used or new depending on the deal of course) unless third party offerings are ...
