    Works great.

    It's hard to find an alarm clock that isn't digital. I hate being woke up by a beeper. This one has a bell. And I want to see that clock, not read numbers. Finally, I found this one. It works great. It has everything I want. Even a button for a light, for setting it in the dark. Very happy with this purchase.

    I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE I AM A HEAVY SLEEPER.....AND I AM 'USED' TO THE ALARMS I HAVE..SO NATURALLY, YOU 'DON'T EVEN HEAR THEM ANYMORE' WHEN THEY GO OFF..LOL.. SO I BOUGHT THIS SHARP ONE...WITH THE TWIN BELLS...BECAUSE I REMEMBER THESE USED TO BE VERY LOUD....AND THIS ONE IS.... BUT....WHEN I USED IT THE FIRST TIME...I NOTICED THAT WHEN I SHUT THE LIGHTS OFF, GOT INTO BED...AND THEN I HEARD THE 'LOUD TICKING'...URGH....THOUGHT IT WOULD BE QUIETER....BUT IT WASN'T.... ............SO NOW MANY JUST USED WHEN I ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO GET UP AT A CERTAIN TIME..BUT NOT EVERY DAY....THE 'LOUD TICKING' WAS DRIVING ME NUTS..LOL...ALTHO IT PUTS OTHERS TO SLEEP.....     Works Marginally When New and Just Gets Worse

    This is a typical cheap piece of Chinese junk. It uses a single AA battery which runs the clock just fine but won't power the bell for very long. After awhile, even a new battery won't power the bell. I'm a professional electronics technician and decided to take it apart for a look. The bell mechanism is a tiny motor fitted with an eccentric shaft, and it uses that wobble to make the bell hammer go back and forth between the two bells. This type of motor typically requires at least 3 volts to have any torque at all, and an AA battery only produces 1.5 volts.which explains the wimpy bell when it did work. Thus, my solution was to grab a 3 volt wall wart supply, then hard-wire it to the battery terminals through a 10 ohm resistor so as not to burn out the clock section. It works ...

    Double Bell Alarm Clock

    Keeping correct time so far. Advertisement states has snooze alarm; however, I couldn't find a snooze alarm. Also, I thought it had "glow in dark" numbers and hands but I'm unable to see - it does have a button on back for light to see in dark.
