I’ve wanted this game for so long ever since I was a kid and it’s just great. If you like FPS or doom you’ll love this game and if your a collector it’s a great addition that can be played for hours. Great Star Wars Game!! Case was also in good condition.

Star Wars: Dark Forces was the first fps Star Wars game I played. I had been really looking forward to one up until then, as I really like the thought of going round blasting stormtroopers. I expected a lot when I bought this, and this exceeded my expectations. Story – 8/10 The story is quite good, it isn't the usual ‘Empire wants to take over this planet. You must stop them'. Well, it is, sort of. But the game has a twist to add to that – the empire is creating a deadly new type of stormtrooper, and you must discover the plans and bring them back to the rebels, who will then find a way of stopping them. The story isn't that exciting, but not bad at all. Graphics – 6/10 The scenery is 3D, but people and creatures are all 2D. From a distance, they look allright, but when up close, they ... Switches are very hard to make out from the rest of the scenery, and you often bypass an essential switch without realizing it was there. The graphics aren't too bad, though, and nothing is so bad that it affects gameplay. Sound – 5/10 The sounds are OK, but are very muffled. They sound as if they were recorded using a poor quality microphone. You can make out each sound, although they could be improved a lot. The music is poor; most of them are badly made midis. They sound a bit like what they are meant to represent, but some of them don't sound like what they are in the film at all. Gameplay – 10/10 This is where the game starts to improve. Although it has poor graphics and sound, the gameplay is as good as… well… playing a good game. This game is not only about going round blasting stormtroopers and getting the required evidence, it also has an element of exploration involved. The levels are huge, and you get lost very often. I like this, as small levels that are easy to find your way around are often very boring, as you can go to lots of places without having any trouble at all. You often tend to rely on going down a corridor of a random choice, and hoping that that is the right way, and you end up where you have to be. Challenge – 9/10 This game is very, very hard. It is very easy to lose your way, as said before. Most of the time, it isn't hard because enemies kill you, it's because you cannot find where you have to go or what you have to do. Sometimes it can get frustratingly hard. But I just think that at least it is not too easy, in which case I would blast through the game in a couple of hours and I never go back to it again. Replay value – 7/10 The game will take a fairly long time to complete. Once you have done that, you can never resist coming back just to blast some more stormtroopers. Some of the levels are very fun, and are worth doing multiple times. Reminders: Story – 10/10 Graphics – 3/10 Sound – 2/10 Gameplay – 10/10 Challenge – 10/10 Replay value – 10/10 Positive points: + Good gameplay + Lasts quite a long time Negative points: - Poor graphics and sound - Some levels are too big - Gets frustrating at times Overall score – 8/10 Star Wars fans will like this game, but only if they are into first person shooters as well. I don't think a fan of other first person shooters would be too keen on this, but may enjoy it a little.

It's a video game. It can be played on any of the 3 playstation game consoles (1,2 and 3). The CD is placed in the game console, and the video game is played. This is a Star Wars game. It is based on the movie Star Wars. The game is called Dark Forces because there are "Dark Forces" in the game, I presume. My son is the one who plays the game. I do not because video games make me dizzy. Some are like roller-coaster rides with many shifting twists and turns. My son likes the game, perhaps you will too.It's a video game. Vintage Star Wars
This is a decent game. The first person view is different for a Star Wars game and the sound effects weren't bad. There were some new innovations not seen on a first person shooter before this like fog and red hazing, mutiple floor levels, and animated background objects. However, the graphics were a bit pixelated and the movement was a little choppy even for 1996 standards. It's pretty funny to watch the characters speak since their mouths don't even come close to what they're saying. The storyline isn't the typical one as you have to infiltrate the Empire's defences in order retrieve plans for a new Imperial Dark Trooper and then help destroy production. This game was a good seller for LucasArts back in the day and it's a good candidate to help complete a Star Wars game collection.This is a decent game. QUITE POSSIBLY THE MOST INNOVATIVE IDEA FOR A STAR WARS GAME WAS TO UTILIZE THE DOOM GAME ENGINE FOR A 1ST-PERSON SHOOTING GAME IN THE STAR WARS UNIVERSE. NOWHERE NEAR AS BLOODY OR GORY AS DOOM, THIS GAME FOLLOWS THE EXPLOITS OF KYLE KATARN, A MERCENARY-FOR-HIRE TYPE THAT WORKS FOR WHOMEVER IS WILLING TO PAY THE MONEY. THE WEAPONS SELECTION IS AWESOME: THERMAL DETONATORS, HIGH-POWERED BLASTERS, TRIP MINES, THIS GAME HAS SOME COOL STUFF. THERE IS NOTHING BAD ABOUT THIS GAME!
