I got this game for my husband for Christmas, as a nostalgic gift from his childhood. He adores this game and has always wanted an authentic copy. When he opened the gift he literally teared up. Not only did the game come with the box and manual (all in well cared for condition) but he was in complete shock at how pristine the original cartridge was. Needless to say, we are thrilled at the quality and care that the game, box and manual arrived in and my husband is super thrilled and adores his authentic Chrono Trigger game! Thank you so much!!

Chrono Trigger is good rpg that has fallen into being the darling of old-style rpg fans. Although it is over-rated, it is still a very good buy and well worth the time. The graphics look great for SNES, the characters and character development is/are excellent, and the replayability is also very good. The main drawback of this game is the plot, although the story is decent, it is over-simplified and employs many gimmicks and unoriginal villains and plot points. The game also takes a cartoonish approach to time-travel, which is fine if you dont think too much or care too much about science. Overall, though, if you have the opportunity to play this game, I say definitely play it. You will probably not stop playing it until you beat it, it is addicting and quite fun to play.
Sure this game is old, and looks just as old, but I can remember when this game first came out, I was kind of disappointed when I seen that this game had a battle system not unlike Final Fantasy, but in the end none of that mattered as I was overjoyed with this game's story line witch takes you on a journey through time to stop a powerful being from destroying everything, I know it sounds like some bad movie but trust me Chrono Trigger is worth your gameing time even if you only play it once. This game has more side quest than you and I put together can count on our finggers and toes, and it porbabley has more endings than any other game around even the ones from the moder age. Now that you know my felling on this game onword to the Pro's and Con's. Pro's [.] Seven playable character's and the ability to change between them when you get to a certen spot in the game. [.] Every character has different abilities some have magic some do not but all of them are powerful in their own way. [.] Large variety of bad guy's to slay. [.] Time travle. I can go on but... Con's [.] Some bad guy's look the same just a different color. [.] Small world map for. [.] Not so long even with all the side quest. I rate this game an 8 out of 10Read full review
Anyone who knows anything about gaming knows that Chrono Trigger is a classic. That is irrefutable. While you could go and buy a cheaper Playstation version of this game, even with it's glorious cutscenes, you'll soon realize how superior the SNES version really is. EVERY menu and shop window on the PSX takes 10-15 seconds to load. In an RPG such as this, that's a tremendous amount of time loss waiting on a black screen for the menu to appear for every new weapon, armor, accessory, heal, save, etc.
