I'd have to say that I really enjoy Carpenter's earlier movies than the ones, let's say, after "They Live", except for "The Ward", that was pretty good. The effects in this movie are pretty good and creatures are scary in this movie. I truly believe by not showing but a flash view or only part of a creature in the shadows makes one's mind fill in the blank with what terrifies them, thus, making it more scarier than what could be portrayed on the screen. Overall, it's well done, but the music definitely could have been better...if he would have done the music like the flavour of "The Thing or The fog" it really would have made the movie that more appealing to me. I really don't believe it's worth paying anymore than $10-15.00 for this movie, unless you are a die hard collector of John Carpenter films.Read full review
